I personally think there's a definite difference between MP3 and AAK ... and Apple report several hours difference in battery life if you use non AAK files.

I don't think there is any apreciable difference between AAC and MP3, the
former is just more efficient storage wise which means marginally less disk
activity and more space to put stuff on.

How much quality of sound is lost by converting to AAC?

Am I also right in thinking that if you play an mp3 file on an apple ipod,
you use more battery power. If you convert it to aac, a smaller file, it
uses lesss power playing it so your battery will last longer before
another charge.

Hi

Yes the iPod will play MP3, but iTunes can convert files into that format
as well if you want it to.

Hi, the Ipod can also play Mp3 so you don't have to change the mp3 to
AAC. But if you do want to for reasons of size (AAC's are smaller)
Itunes will do it I think.

Hi all,
Am I right in thinking that the I-pod plays tunes that have an
extension of
aac, that is, A.A.C. If so, is it possible to convert mp3 or other
music
sound files to a.a.c format using Goldwave? Mp3 to A.A.C?
