I would imagine it wouldn't boot if she removed it Eleanor, but someone
with a bit more knowledge on this could be better placed to answer. A
friend of mine has an old Windows 98 machine that he uses for testing,
and has successfully operated it for years minus a monitor with no
problems whatsoever.

Go for it Barbara. I know people don't always recommend it because
the
PC knows you have a graphics card on there and goes: "Hey, it isn't
connected to a monitor". But it's ideal for exactly the purposes you
describe.

Hi Barbara
I've done it many times. There have been situations where I haven't
needed the monitor on the system, so have been able to boot up
without
difficulty. Not sure how this works nowadays with Vista though.

Hi
This is probably a stupid question, so please don't think me a dunce
for
asking! I just want to confirm I am right before I do anything.
Am I correct in thinking that you can't run a desktop PC with a set
of
speakers only and no monitor connected?
