I would imagine it wouldn't boot if she removed it Eleanor, but someone with a bit more knowledge on this could be better placed to answer. A friend of mine has an old Windows 98 machine that he uses for testing, and has successfully operated it for years minus a monitor with no problems whatsoever. I know people don't always recommend it becausethePC knows you have a graphics card on there and goes: "Hey, it isn't connected to a monitor". But it's ideal for exactly the purposes you describe. There have been situations where I haven't needed the monitor on the system, so have been able to boot upwithoutdifficulty. Not sure how this works nowadays with Vista though. I just want to confirm I am right before I do anything. Am I correct in thinking that you can't run a desktop PC with a setofspeakers only and no monitor connected?
