Hi Phil.
Presumably, any mobile company offering 3G services (as all 4 of them in the UK
do) should be able to give you this service. 3G was originally marketed as
offering the opportunity for users to download and watch videos but I feel that
placing more emphasis on the ability to surf the internet faster would have
been a better bet.
If you have bluetooth on your laptop, you should be able to use this to connect
to your mobile phone. From the little research I have done, Orange seems to
offer the best rates for Internet Access. Rates are generally based on the
amount of data downloaded.
Cheers
Graham

Subject: [access-uk] Mobile broadband services
Hi,
Am doing some research on providers of 'go anywhere' broadband services - I.e.
connecting wirelessly via a laptop anywhere and not at specific hotspots. So
far I've only found o2 at £30 per month but surely there must be others out
there? Anyone else using such a service and if so how much and how good is it?
Also I have a centrino laptop with wireless connection, will I need anything
else for such services?
yes I have done a Google but not much there, or perhaps I was searching for the
wrong thing!!
As ever any help gratefully appreciated.
Cheers,
Phil
a centrino
