Hi ndy I use there pay as you go on my netbook and for some strange reason I can listen to talking books online from r n i b and it does not charge me. also skype is the same it is no charge don't know why and hear in Rothwell Leeds the signal is good. the software is accesible with window eyes and jaws. very good service. I got it in April and put on £45 I still have £42 left and use it a lot when away playing chess or tuning pianos. the hotels charge a lot now so this is the best way to go with a netbook. with my braille sense plus I have to use walking hot spot. 
Walking hot spot is good but drains the mobile phone battery.
walking hot spot turns the mobile phone in to a wireless device but as Steve nut says works very well.

Sorry, what I meant was that if there is a Vodafone signal you can connect, if not then it does not show you a connect button. So you quickly know if you can connect rather than hitting the Connect button and sitting and waiting.

The Vodafone software is completely accessible. When the software is installed, there are two shortcuts on the desktop, one for mobile broadband and one for SMS. If you click on the broadband one it will search for a connection point. If it's available, then there will be a Connect Button and if you are not on this you simply Tab around the options which are all spoken.

Hi Ibrahim

I've only tried it using the 3 dongle we were given at work for going
out and about with.  I was just commenting really on the fact that the
actual software isn't accessible.  I prefer to use Joikuspot on my phone
as I can do it myself without asking a sighted person to click the
Connect button on the desktop.

It all depends on the modem you get;  Each modem interface is different
and has varying accessibility.  Of course, there's nothing to stop you
putting the sim in to an HSDPA enabled phone and hooking that up to your
computer to utilize the broadband.
