If you look closely at your CD tray when it is extended out of the case, you will see that there is a recessed section inside the diameter of the normal CD. It's about the size of a 3.5 inch floppy disk after to remove it from its plastic case. An 80 Millimetre CD drops neatly into this recess, and amazingly when you push the tray back in again, you will find the CD will work as normal, be it a CD-R or CD-RW. In fact, some 80mm CDs appear to be almost oval on shape, or at least have two flat sides. They are even printed to look like business cards. Not only will they drop into the inner recess of your CD tray, they also contain information. Indeed I recall Queen Alexandra College for the Blind in Birmingham had some of these, containing information about the college's facilities. This size of CD is ideal if you only want to send one or two hundred megs of data to someone, but sadly, while they may help save our oil and plastic reserves, this is not often reflected in the cost.
