Ar ok, thanks for telling us that Steve. I'd probably use WPA (if supported), but if not WEP on Joiku, otherwise it may be Walking Hotspot. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 8:12 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Making my nc 10 use my n82 as a modem? Hi Jackie, The only thing I don't like about Joikuspot is that it accepts connections without confirmation, so unless you set it to WEP, anyone can get in. Walking Hotspot on the other hand, will tell you that someone is trying to connect and let you choose yes or no on the phone. A little more secure. Hi Martin I use Joikuspot, and find it easy to work with. I simply start Joikuspot on my N82, go into Internet Explorer on my Netbook, and it picks up the wireless connection. My boss Glenn and I were at the airport last week, and he couldn't pick up his own Emails with the WiFi spot there, so I gave him my N82 to use Joikuspot, and this was successful for him. I believe Walking Hotspot does something similar, so I guess it's a case of trying them both to see which you prefer.
