I agree with you. Why pay extra for something that is a firmware upgrade? I would have thought that all hardware devices would give you firmware updates for free, unless the device had to be sent back for some reason, but Milestone is an exception.

Does anyone know whether the new firmware version for the Milestone, V2.6,
supports daisy files? The release notes accompanying the download don't
