Hi Steve

I forgot there apparently are (or will be ) two models of this player, one with daisy support and one without. However, at the
moment the RNIB web site is
not clear on this point. The product quoted as being £180 (HT223) states:
PLEASE NOTE: This player will be able to support Daisy when the software
becomes available. This will be available as a Firmware upgrade.

This could encourage people to purchase this particular model with the
expectation that they will receive a free firmware upgrade to support daisy
content, rather than there being two separate products.

Hi Brian,

Did you know though, they charge an extra 15 quid or thereabouts just for
Daisy support?

All the best

Sorry to those on another list where I've already asked a similar question. Does anyone know whether the new firmware version for the Milestone, V2.6, supports daisy files? The release notes accompanying the download don't say. But I've heard a suggestion that it now does.
