Hello,

do you know if any work has been done on the accessability of the library?

Steve.

The winamp beta is not released as an official version. I was also a little surprised to see it up on Whitestick as the latest version without at least another link to the stable release.

The winamp beta can be gotten from such places as betanews and sometimes it is a bit hairy to get the right download link. I think the whitestick link is meant to help this but I wish the link to the latest stable release had been left in place.

This said, Winamp is one of the programs where i usually do not hesitate to try out the beta versions. I am currently running the second available beta for winamp 2.25 and have not experienced any problems.

What i usually do is to copy and rename the winamp folder with my current installation before installing a new version. This way, i just need to rename the folder again to revert to my older version if there are any unexpected bugs with the one I'm trying out.

Cheers,

Doris

I normally try to use the latest version of Winamp - currently I am
on 5.24. However I notice on Tom Lorrimer's site a version 5.25.0787
Beta which is described as the latest Full version. This seems very
odd. I do not currently subscribe to any of the audio lists, but I
wonder whether anyone who does has seen anything which might explain
why a beta is being released in this way.

Many thanks,
