I'm due for a free upgrade from Vodaphone, so I think (even
as a sighted person) that I will ask for one with speech,
and see what they say?

Took my first Vodafone TALKS contract out last month on a
Nokia N73. I did
it in the local store and they knew exactly what I was
talking about. They
refer to TALKS as speaking phones.
Selected the N73 from a choice of several and it took a week
to be sent off
to have TALKS installed and returned to the store for my
collection.
