I prefer non-sliders, but horses for courses. Not an N82. I did see the N82 and its a lovely phone, very similar to the N95. Personally I like a slider unit, so the N95 still gets my vote. They are so very similar though Ray so I'd take either or in a pinch. You could buy an N82 on Ebay and have Steve Nutt upgrade the talks software for you. There'd be a cost of course, but then you'd be good to go for the next 5 years. Vodaphone didn't have the N82 in store at the time I checked, but phones for you across the precinct did have an N82 on show. Interestingly enough, Vodaphone down the road on Argyll street only had the N73. It did have talks installed, but I really wouldn't get into a contract with an N73. Orange also? Well they had a Motorola pay as you go with talks compatible for only 100 pounds though you'd have to buy your own talks software. This is not a bad deal really, because Steve Nutt could install that for another 150 pounds plus service charge, so yor good to go for 250 pounds or so. Not bad considering its a brand new phone with the latest version of talks installed. Still, at 30 quid a month, which was what this friend was paying on Orange, I couldn't consider it on contract, not that my provider would do it anyway. Think they're about 300 to buy so, for the rare person who's anything like me and holds on to a phone for five years or more, then maybe that outlay isn't too bad. Many no doubt are buying the N82 one way or another for the KNFB reader, but we're hearing now there seems to be a good competitor to this. I'll just crawl under a stone now, and listen to what others think. cheers, Ray. ----- Original Message ----- To: "Sayka Hussain" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [access-uk] Re: Latest Symbian Phones > Hi, I hear the N82 is a popular new phone out there.
