Hello Douglas,
I have had to remove the battery pack on a few occasions myself. I
purchased my laptop from Dolphin three years ago this month and I had to
return it three months later for a BIOS upgrade. I am wondering if AVG 8.0
has found and deleted something it thought was a virus. As I said in my
last posting, the scan results were clear. Maybe it is best to give it a
good spring-clean and clear out any nasties which might be lurking in your
system.
