So far as I am aware, Outlook does remove the extra line breaks. So far as the extra > signs that may be added, whilst I accept this, I've never had any bother signing on to any other mailing list. I have to tell someone else what to do, as I tried again today because he also wants to subscribe and wanted details; so please be clear and let me know whether it is necessary to put SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and also whether anything needs to be done other than a CTRL+R to send the reply to the second message, which is obviously the one which kept going wrong. I can then tell my friend clearly what to do. I'm sorry to "belly ache" about this, George, but I really think it's a bit of a fag. When I tried to subscribe online, I couldn't follow up the mail sent to me online so again had to try to send my response. OK, you can't win them all but I'm not overly impressed with the setup. Let me know what to say to my friend, please. I don't want him having the hassle I had both today and on a previous occasion when I tried (without success) to subscribe. Cheers and thanks. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George Bell Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 9:15 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: JAWS-UK MAILING LIST DETAILS Hi Carol, You are subscribed now. There are two reasons for failure. 1) Your "reply" function may add things like > signs to the reply. 2) Your Outlook needs to be told to "Remove extra line breaks" George. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Carol Pearson Sent: 01 April 2005 17:44 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: JAWS-UK MAILING LIST DETAILS Thanks to all who told me. I just couldn't subscribe last time and so far haven't made it this time. I have subscribed to lots of mailing lists but somehow this one doesn't happen! I personally don't like free lists as the messages you receive seem very odd to me. Never mind, maybe I'll get subscribed one day. -- Carol -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of WillFromMidUlster Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 5:00 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: JAWS-UK MAILING LIST DETAILS Hello, below is the link for the jaws uk list. put subscribe in the subject. jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> www.btinternet.com/~william.stewart40 Messenger: wsandy23@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: benstheboss ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Pearson" <carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 3:47 PM Subject: [access-uk] JAWS-UK MAILING LIST DETAILS Has anyone got the JAWS-UK Mailing List details to hand, please? -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
