It happens when the machine is in use! But like I've said in another post,
there must be some kind of issue going on, as sometimes, when I boot up, JFW
reverts to 40 minute mode, and asks me to register it. I'm not sure if this
request to register the programme each time, has affected the number of
keys[if it's still called that] that I have; sometimes a message comes up
telling me that the authorisation had failed, and to contact my dealer[S&S]
but I haven't done so yet, as a reboot often fixes the problem strait away!
I do wonder what's going on though? -

| This may be a result of you coming in and out of sleep, sometimes JAWS
| is ready to go but some component is not initialised properly and you
| get the error 6 message. This shouldn't really happen but getting a
| machine that cleanly cycles in and out of sleep mode is not always
| guarunteed it varies machine to machine, although the most modern big
| name ones are quite good.
|
| There are two ways around this, the first is quite simply to make sure
| you are not putting the machine to sleep, or re-configure the power
| options so that the power button you press actually shuts the machine
| down if you are not using it.
|
| The second road is a little longer and will involve you trying to source
| the latest drivers for the system, especially graphic and sound drivers
| and have those installed on the machine which may make these instances
| go away.

|
| Hi all -
|
| On my Vista lap top, I sometimes get a JAWS dialogue "error[6] this
| feature
| is not licensed to run on this machine. and an OK button.
|
| Anybody shed any light on this? I don't know what feature it is
| referring
| too. If it helps, I am experiencing another JAWS problem on boot up, is
| that
| JAWS regularly goes back in to 40 minute demo mode, and I have to go on
| line
| to re-register it; sometimes when I do this, I get a message telling me
| that
| the authorisation failed, and to contact my dealer, but if I reboot, it
| corrects itself. All very strange, any ideas? -
