In the main yes all I'd say is that the most accessible version to use is skype 3.8 not the most recent version. 
However if you go to
www.skype.com
and choose download skype it points you to 3.8 saying this is the best version for visually impaired people to use. Once it installs you create an account and essentially it work "out of the box"

Hi,

I have never used Skype before but now must try and get it up and running
for a contract I'm working on. I have JAWS 10 and was wondering if there is 
anything I need to know about running Skype, can I just download it and be
on my way?
