It doesn't speak but I had a look at the RedChair software site last week - the people who developed the software for the Creative MP3 players to make them talk - and it said that they were working on software for the iRiver series so hopefully it won't be long till they release something. You'd be able to charge the unit up while travelling if you had access to a plug socket, or you could buy the battery pack which screws onto the unit and put some batteries in that. You can get a cradle for the unit which, when hooked up to a PC, can charge the unit up. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Harry Lyddall Sent: 23 July 2005 08:48 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Iriva MP3 player does this one speak? can it be charged from the mains when travelling? thanks harry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sunil" <bosley20@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, July 22, 2005 11:05 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Iriva MP3 player I assume the difference is that you don't get the accessories when you pay the cheaper price. I paid 250 quid for my H340 but didn't get the docking station, or a battery pack which can screws into the unit and accommodates more batteries for increased playing time. I got everything I needed though - AC adaptor, headphones, documentation and a neat carrying case. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Andrew Hodgson Sent: 22 July 2005 21:16 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Iriva MP3 player Hi, Yes. I did mean this one. Where did you get yours from - was it the H340 Lite as advertised in Argos for £279 or the Iriva H340 (non-lite - not sure what the difference is)? Thanks. Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Brian Hartgen Sent: 22 July 2005 20:50 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Iriva MP3 player If you mean the H340, I really like it.
