Thanks Barbara - in my continuing research, Do you or does anybody know
about the new shuffle, if it has voice over like the Nano range, and if it
can be hooked up to a sound system, the latter point is important because I
think I've heard that the Shuffle range is controlled by controlls on the
headphone cable, and I want to be able to hook it up to a car system -
Andy

Andy, I have a Classic and once you get sighted help to set it up, you can
select to play songs by artist, album, alphabetically or Shuffle. Even
when you load more music in iTunes, your setting will remain the same. So
I just had mine set to Shuffle and it stays there.

Thanks all for the feedback - Because this player will be mostly for a
sighted user [was hoping I too could make some use of it] the Classic is
the best buy at around £175, with all the touch flavours being so
expensive, and only having a fraction of the 160GB capacity of the
Classic.
Does anybody know if the Classic store songs alphabetically? I ask
because I understand there is no file search facility. Is there a random
play though?
Thanks -
Andy

Hi Andy
Then probably the Nano in 16 or 8GB with VoiceOver, or the iPod Touch in
64GB or 32GB with VoiceOver. There are probably a couple more I have
forgotten or don't know about. Most will have bells and whistles
though.
Kind Regards,
Jackie Cairns

Hi all -
I take it that the Ipod classic 160GB is still inaccessible to blind
people?
So, which of the Ipod range is accessible with the largest music
capacity.
I'm only interested in a music player, not one with loads of bells and
whistles -
Andy
