[access-uk] Re: Internet access via Mobile Phone

Phil I dont think you need that as it only downloads a very small chunk of data. Also O2 Pay and Go now allows full internet just by changing some settings for your WAP access point. In advanced settings, make sure that no proxy server is used (by setting proxy server to none) and the port set to zero (0). Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Internet access via Mobile Phone

Hi List

Could someone help me with charges etc to access the internet from my N82.

I have recently purchased Wayfinder Access and did not realise I needed to have access to the internet. My understanding was that I downloaded the maps and used the GPS to find routes but am informed that you have to access the maps from Wayfinder's website.

I am currently with O2 on a pay as you go tariff. O2 say they can do me a "bolt-on" with unlimited internet access for £7.50 per month. I don't think this seems too bad as to go on the pay as I go tariff would cost me £3 per Kilobite to download. I wondered what other options I had.

I would appreciate help here please.

Phil
