Sorry, Andy, I think it should be "Goodbye Norton". It worked
for me for a few years then, once it went wrong, it just seemed
to stay that way. I eventually, rather reluctantly, gave up the
fight! After all, it's too much of a pain to remove!
Just my thoughts!

Hi all.
At Christmas, I bought my wife a wireless router to enable her togo on the
internet with her computer, which is located upstairs. She got awireless
card installed. The router is downstairs and my computer isattached at
that point. Since getting this router I have had nothing butproblems and
had to re-format several times. I've also had problems gettingrid of
Norton, which came with my computer. I re-formatted on Sundayand this
time, rather than try to get rid of Norton and use Sygate andAVG, I decided
to just let Norton do it's stuff. Unfortunately, when I did alive update,
my computer seemed to crash or stall. I decided to attempt toturn Norton
off and managed this, in terms of Internet Security and AntiVirus. I then
installed Sygate and AVG and my old problems started again. So,eventually,
to my question. Is having a router perhaps causing my problems.I mean,
is there any implications when using Sygate, AVG or Norton, whenyou are
attached via a Router.
I've really had it with this computer and fancy just visiting PCWorld to
get into dept again, but if the problems I am having areassociated to my
Router, then a new computer would not resolve anything. Anyadvise or ideas
would be very welcomed.
Best wishes.
Andy
