Hi,

Go into Tools, Internet Options in Internet Explorer and make sure that Ask if
IE should be the default program is checked. This can be found on the Programs
tab.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Internet Explorer

For some while now I have been unable to restore IE as my default browser and
have had to use Firefox which I don’t like. I have just found out that if I go
into Firefox Tool/Options/Advanced and uncheck the “Make Firefox the Default
Browser” it wall then allow me access to make IE my default which is what I
want. However it seems to have created another problem. If I hit a link such as
in an email I get a message box appear with the link address along the top as
the heading and the message stating:

There was a problem sending the command to the program

with only an OK button as the way out. I can open both IE and Firefox as
normal but not as a link from elsewhere.

Can anyone advise me as to how I move forward on this please

Many thanks Roger
