hello clive, you can do this 2 ways.
1. go to my computer and high light the hard drive and then hit the
application key and arrow down to the format command and that will format
the hard drive.
2. you can go to the run command and type in the following: format c: this
will do the same as the first suggestion.
hope this helps.
let me no how you get on.
cheers

Hello Anthony,
Okay, the problem is how does she format the drive? She has a USB floppy
drive connected to the machine and she has tried running format from the
floppy drive, but the message comes up saying there is another process and
the command is aborted. where can she format the hard drive?
Best wishes,
Clive Pallett
