Thanks, John. I went into the date/time in*insert*, tabbed around and found
the setting was already English UK. It seems that it was just the letter I
was working on earlier that had the American format. It was copied from a
web page so I guess it took the document format.

Hi Barry.

On the date/time page if you tab around the page you should get to language.
it should say English (u.k.).


You should be able to change it there.

I've just noticed that when I insert a date using alt I, the format is the
American style with the month first.  How do I put it back to the English
version?
