the salient point is the 75 ohm input impedance.

Most television aerials which are available on the commercial market
have a matching impedance of this value.

Three further factors need to be taken into account.
1.  is your local transmitter horizontally or vertically polarized?
2.  in which band are the transmissions made?
3.  is the signal strength good enough for your new purchase to receive
a 'loud' enough signal.

All these questions should be answerable by your local independent TV
shop.
Unfortunately, the chains probably won't be able to answer the technical
questions.
