Hi George
The Main Circuit Board information from Belarc is as follows:
Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-8SIMLH 1.x Bus Clock: 100 megahertz BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. 6.00 PG 02/14/2003
I'm sure it makes sense to you, but to me.....!

Hi Roger,
Doesn't Belarc tell you the make and model of the motherboard? On my system, Belarc reports it in a section called "Main Circuit Board". Once you get that information, we can trace it perhaps through the manufacturer's web site. That will also tell us what the maximum size modules are which can be fitted.
George.

Hi All
My Intel Celeron system using XP Home has 512 megs of RAM
memory. I'm thinking of increasing this to 1024 megs. This
gives rise to 2 questions; the first is how difficult is it?
Do I simply plug in the new items to the motherboard and it
sorts it's self out or is there more to it than that? Secondly how do I discover which of the multitude available
I actually need. I have looked on Control Panel and Balarc Advisor and can
find nothing more than the fact I have 512 megs of memory.
Many thanks
Roger
