Hello,
I too cannot understand the reasoning behind Intouch > > ignoring S.V., or at
least not giving sufficient time to it.

Agreed.

However I am glad that it was photography and not
feeling pleased because
somebody has been in trouble for not accepting guide dogs;

Yes, they can be a bit smug about that some times...

It is important
that we all respect the feelings of the rest of the people;

Why, exactly? shouldn't they respect the choice of a guide dog as a mobility aid, and the right of disabled peple to be independent?

some people
just do not like dogs.

Yes, but I don't like being discriminated against. Why should their preference take precedence over mine? If there is a genuine medical reason, then fair enough, but otherwise it's a fairly straightforward case of discrimination.

I think that if we go on like this

like what?

we will not have
the public support that we need in our lives.

And we would never have got any public support at all if it hadn't been for the campaigning of disabled people themselves and organisations representing them over the years. We do need to think about how society perceives us, but this shouldn't prevent us from speaking out on issues that matter and telling some uncomfortable truths. Would you rather be stuck in some institution?
