[access-uk] Re: In Touch: Why do we pay so much? Again!

Is it that some manufacturers recommend a price and others stipulate one?

  hello wally,

unless they have changed their policy this is not the case with pulsedata.
i used to belong to the braillenote email list, and a year or so ago there
was a long running discussion about the pricing of pulsedata's various
equipment in different countries around the world.
eventually pulsedata in new zeland posted an explanitary message stating
that they don't set the price of their equipment globally and that it's
left to the individual branch of their company in various countries to set
  their own prices.

  pete.
