It started to happen when the welcome message was removed, I suspect this
has a lot to do with it.  The top two lines are there to accommodate the
welcome message that we no longer get.

Well when I do alt+1 nothing happens!

Perhaps that's a jaws speech command, if so what is the key strokes for
 Braille?

By the way, not a complaining  but why am I getting the "="  sign at the
end of lines  of text from y9our message?

Also,  George, why  is the  top 2 lines blank on *all* messages on this
list,  didn't used to happen.
