I believe that only critical updates are downloaded automatically
and that IE7 will not be distributed as a critical update.

on this subject, is there a way to stop autoupdate downloading Internet
Explorer 7?
For many people, upgrading their screenreader is not an option on financial
grounds. I'm not complaining as I realise screenreaders need to be financed
but there is an issue here never the less. I know you can turn off auto
update altogether but this is not really an ideal solution, particularly for
those who are used to just letting Windows update itself.

Thanks. I may have to give this a go as my IE 6 is playing up and I don't
know if it would roll back as this machine was already updated with software
