If it's more information about the compatibility view Tony, take a look at this article on the IE8 blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/08/27/introducing-compatibility-view.a spx Léonie. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tony Sweeney Sent: 01 August 2009 18:39 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: IE 8 Hi Folk, There is a discussion on another list locally about similar so I wonder if anyone comes across a link which will give us more info on the matter could you please let me know so I can pass it on! Interestingly though there is a compatibility button in IE8 which allows you to use it in IE7 mode because the majority of web sites don't work properly with IE8. That just about says it all really! "We will soon be phasing out support for IE 7". As someone who is happy with IE 7 and has no intention to upgrade until absolutely necessary, is it likely that many sites will stop supporting IE 7 in the near future making upgrade to IE 8 essential?
