Hi Andy Go into the about feature, and it should tell you something in there. Only guessing mind. When I hooked up both the Touch and iPhone to the Mac, on both occasions, I got the opportunity to download and install the latest software, 4.2.1, and that told me they were both fourth gen devices. There seems to be nothing on the ppackaging, or on the device itself. Any clues? - Andy No virus found in this incoming message.
