Hi Mary,

I'm really pleased for you!

Now, which version of Norton did you have to uninstall completely and
was there a special order to do this?

Thought I'd ask while it was very fresh in your mind, just in case I
need to know.

Hi George

Thought I would let you know the latest.

After your message I sent Norton all the info. Still nothing changed so
as I said earlier, decided to take Norton off the system and start
again. Installed everything and found that I still had the 2.5 live
update engine and Norton started installing. I was told to restart the
computer and then get more live updates. I thought great, everything is
working well. My next message was a LU1806 general error. left the
computer for a while as I was totally cheesed off by this time. Decided
to give live update one final chance and Hey presto* all is well with
Norton. I see that my live update mode was changed from interactive to
express so whatever the problem Symantec appear to have sorted it as all
live updates are now current.

Thanks once again for your help. Much appreciated.

Regards

Mary
