Hi Andy,

You still use the run menu to bring up Narrator. Just type Windows-R as I
said to get to the run menu, then Narrator.

There are lots of ways round this stuff, it just needs a little thought.

All the best

Steve

Steve, another good idea, thanks. Would the keystroke Windows u still work
to bring up Narrator, or would I have to like you say, use the run menu? -

| Hi Andy,
|
| If that happens, simply run Narrator, go to Programs, Jaws, Tools I think
it
| is, and Video Chain Manager, or whatever it is, and re-enable it. Don't
| forget, we always have Narrator to fall back on. It is not perfect, but
it
| works in these situations.
|
| To run Narrator, press Windows-R to go to the run menu, and just type
| narrator and press enter.
|
| All the best
|
| Steve

|
| Yes ok, but what if for some reason after installing a video driver
update,
| the chain with JFW doesn't work? Using a hot key with Quickmix can't bring
| it back, because the old driver is affectively uninstalled! -

|| Andy,
|| If I may come in here, it is possible to set up a hot key which will run
| Quickmix and restore
|| previously saved volume control settings. Where sound is too low to make
| adjustments
|| using the screen reader prompts, Quickmix can sometimes bring the sound
| back to normal
|| level. I have found it useful on several occasions, but at present it
| does not seem to have
|| been made compatible with Vista.
