Hi,

Try the following:

1. Turn on the unit whilst holding the eject button. Result: Forces
the CD to eject before it starts to read.
2. Ensure the battery hasn't drained overnight by plugging it into the
mains.
3. Last resort - hold down the play/stop key and the eject button and
turn on the unit. Result: You will hear the fact that the profile is
being reset and the unit will turn to defaults.
4. If it still doesn't work you can open the unit up to get the CD out
if it is not an RNIB disk you have in there, if it is send it back.

Andrew.

Hi Folks,
I turned the machine off last night, (including the mains)
Went to use it this morning flicked the mains on and switched it on and
the
machine will not release the CD. Also, the voice did not say "Welcome to
victor reader classic."

Can anyone help, apart from resorting to the hammer?
Many thanks in advance.
