Just a suggestion but do you not open folder and from there run NVDA ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 2:05 PM Subject: [access-uk] Help with Autorun.inf file Hi Guys, I'm trying to get the NVDA screen reader to load automatically when inserting my Pen Drive into the computer. I want to be able to use it at my local library. What is happening is the Windows Autoplay pop up appears with all the normal options of what do you want to do, but the option to run NVDA isn't there. According to the instructions I got from the internet the NVDA option should have appeared at the top of the Autoplay list so that a press of the Enter key would load the screen reader. I had this working perfectly about a year ago and haven't changed the Autorun.inf file. I've read that the Autorun.inf file doesn't work with Windows 7 as Microsoft disabled it but now i'm wondering if they have disabled it in Windows XP as well via the latest service pack. Anyway, my Autorun.inf file is below so if you think i've made an error somewhere by all means let me know. [autorun] open=nvda.exe icon=nvda.exe action=Launch NVDA Screen Reader Cheers Tom.
