Hi Dave No, they aren't wireless, but the muffs are very comfortable. I'd prefer the headband to go round the back of my neck rather than over my hair, but that's my only whine!! (smile). Are your Plantronics headset wireless? I ask, as when I looked at there website, the first thing that jumped out at me was wireless headsets. A good idea, and very convenient, but totally useless and frustrating, if they don't work properly. Anyone have experience of Plantronics, wireless headsets? and are the muffs comfortable? Jackie, stop laughing! Keep this in mind if you answer this message. Hi Dave The box is from Hagger, known as a splitter box C, and I don't think a third item can be plugged in, though I wouldn't swear to that. The headset is a Plantronics which goes into the splitter box. I believe the box costs £185. Raid your piggy bank my boy!! If it is possible to plug in a third item, then so much the better. Cheers Dave Ankers Hi Dave My box of tricks is quite nice, and I believe it came from Hagger UK. It comprises a box with one switch on the top. I can listen to JAWS in one ear and the telephone call in the other, or have JAWS or the telephone call in both ears. The box has individual volume controls on the front. I don't know if I could plug in a third item, I've never tried. The headset though has a microphone on it, and the over-the-head band and muffs are very comfortable to wear. I would need to ask someone what the make and model of these items are if you are interested further. So time to choose another. What to replace them with, question. Well, what I would really like is a set of headphones, with which I can switch between PC and telephone, plus PC and Daisy player., am I asking too much? It would be nice to have a simple box, with which to switch between these two settings. I currently have a pair of Bose noise reduction headphones, which are very comfortable, but are lacking an attached microphone. If these had a microphone, all I would need is a box of tricks that with a flick of a switch, allows me to hear the PC/JAWS, in one ear, and either the telephone or daisy player in the other, and the microphone to work with both as I have Dragon Naturally Speaking/J-Say, and a Plextalk PTR2 daisy player, which I can record on. Anyone know of such a setup, commercially available? If not, I would also like to hear any recommendations, as to the best headsets currently available.
