Not sure what a Streamer is, but do have input shoes that connect directly in
to my hearing aids, but I don't like the sound quality, too thin and tinny, no
good for music, and too rasping for speach... -

Well if you have a hearing loss (like I do too) you are going to get some
leakage when you crank it up. I use the Sennheiser HD228-2 and they clamp your
head nice and tight making the sound a bit louder. A better solution which
would create less leakage is to see if your hearing aids (if you wear them that
is) supports a streamer. Phonak have one for their devices it is called the
iCom and is brilliant. I even use it for listening to JAWS babble on at work
and still able to hear what is going on in the office. It also has a built in
Microphone and uses bluetooth too. Oticon have just brought one out for their
aids and Siemens has had one out for a while.

i guess this all depends on how loud you need it. Do you have a hearing
impairment? Always best to go for closed back headphones as they leak a lot
less sound than open back. Also what do you plan to drive these headphones? Is
it for listening to your iPod on the go? or just listening to music / tv in a
fixed location at home? How much are you prepared to pay?
