Hi Steve.
Probably the best thing to do would be to get a RCA lead splitter, this would
set you back a couple of quid off EBay but would allow you to connect more than
one RCA audio output to your sky box in this case your gnome and stereo system.

Hi there,
A good set of instructions thanks. I haven't had a chance to set mine up yet
but on unpacking it yesterday. I see that you connect the audio phonos of the
sky box to the gnome transmitter. This is a bit of a pain as I use these
outputs to my hi-fi amp. Is there a second set of outputs on the sky box do
you know? I guess I'll have to get a scart to audio lead possibly.
Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Guidelines for setting up sky gnome
Hi Everyone.
This morning, I managed to set up my sky gnome with no visual assistance at
all. Below I have some guidelines for those who are in the same position and
who lack sighted assistance.
In the majority of cases, the external device support on your sky box
should be enabled so all you need to do is connect the data cable as follows:
Firstly, turn off the sky box and disconnect the mains lead. Secondly, connect
the serial port to the serial connector on the back of the sky box, remembering
to remove the cap on the end of the lead which prevents damage to the pins
during transportation. Secondly, plug the RF lead, the end with the short
thick cable attached to the lowest of the three RF connectors on the box.
Finally, connect the telephone style jack plug in to the base of the gnome.
This is the data link established and as I said before should work immediately
upon use. Connect the RCA leads to the back of your sky box and the base
station on the gnome, plug in the AC adaptor and then turn on the whole system.
Allow a couple of minutes to pass to ensure the system has rebooted properly
and then turn on your sky box using the gnome.
I hope this has helped some of you who may be struggling and feel free to
email me if you've any concerns.
