[access-uk] Re: Google again

I have no idea if this has been discussed before, but there is a workaround to get to pages from the UK.

If you type in the search subject in google and press the enter key, google searches the entire web. However, if you then press the jaws key plus f7 a links list appears as normal, but on that list is a link entitled "pages from the UK", which you can hit enter on and the results list then only gives those pages from the UK.

I know it's a lot longer than having the pages from the UK radio button on the first search page, but it's at least something.

From discussions on the web, google seems to know what they've done, but have no plans to correct this although users of google from Australia, South Africa and the UK have made complaints to them.

I will now step onto very slippery ground and say that from those discussions it does not seem to be jaws related, rather whether or not you ar using IE7 or IE8,but other than a single reference in a discussion I've lost the link to I have no other evidence for this.

regards

Steve Green

Hi Ari

I can't shed any light on this other than to tell you that I have similar
problems with Google. However, I don't have to click more than twice to get
the results. Still, once would be nice.

I'm going to look at Yahoo as a search engine.

Cheers

Barry

Hi Guys
No, its not the Pack Man, but I've got another problem. Sorry if this has
been discussed before, but I've been away. Anyway, my problem is that, when I go to Google UK or Google South Africa to do a search, those radio buttons
aren't there anymore where you can choose just to search pages from the
country. Also, for some strange reason, I don't know if something's happened
to my IE or if you guys also experience this, but I type in my search
question, but when I press enter, it does make the click sound that I've
clicked on the search and so you expect to get the results. Instead of that, it basically just reloads the same page over and over again, I have to press
like sometimes 4 times on the search button until my info is finally
submitted for some reason. Is this just something weird going on with me, or
should I just change search engines?
Thanks
Ari
