OK, this is weird. I can use the page you used with JAWS to. However, if I go
to local.google.co.uk I can't. Not with IE anyway, with Firefox it's fine.
Very strange.

I'd never come across Google Local before so I took a look both at the
URL James gave and then went to
www.googlelocal.com

I see there an edit box quite a bit further down the screen and it works
in the normal way with JAWS 7. I searched for "Restaurants in Reading"
and appeared to get what I wanted.

I don't understand how this is different from what used to happen . . ..
Could someone explain, please?

You're not wrong. Its totally inaccessible. There is an edit field there
where normally you would type your search criteria. There's also a
search button. But Jaws only wraps from top to bottom with perhaps a few
links in between.

I am hoping beyond hope that I am wrong on this one. I am really quite
angry and my blood is boiling.

Google Local, a service that I loved and used often, now appears to be
inaccessible.

I've tried several ways into it but there is no longer an accessible
search box on the page. Say hello to dragging maps.

Please, someone else try it and tell me I'm wrong.
