Hi Kevin, Ok I've just tried it again and it says this file type isn't supported, So since when has Goldwave stopped supporting this file type? AAC. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Lloyd" <kevin.lloyd3@xxxxxxx>

Hi Andrew.

Generally if you're converting from one format to another, the old format files will be left behind. There may be an option in goldwave to delete them when done but it's not the default. Have you set the output folder accordingly? Could it be that they are converting but going to a folder you weren't expecting them to go to? The other thing you should check is the summary report when the conversion completes. Use your JAWS cursor or similar and arrow upwards from the OK button. You'll see a message to tell you how many errors were found and how many warnings as well as how many files were converted. Above this you will see the list of tracks and an error message to the right of each telling you what was wrong with each file. You can access this list with the PC cursor aswell if you tab from the OK button and then arrow up and down in the list of tracks.

Hi Barbara, Ok there is no erro message, it is takening only two minutes to do 25 files, and when I check to see if they have been done every thing is just the same, all files are still .ogg, and not in MP3 format which I want. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Wilson" <barkingbabs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Andrew, is it giving you an error message or what exactly is happening?

Andrew, what are you trying to convert to? I'm aware that some file formats, like MP3, require a third party encoder, like the Lame encoder for MP3's. Without this GoldWave won't be able to convert files in your chosen format.

 Hi Andrew

In Goldwave go to File/Batch Processing and in the dialogue box that comes up choose the format you wish to convert to. The bit rate, the source files and the target files. The hit Begin and wait until it's finished.

I run a help list on Google for Goldwave that has some very knowledgeable people on it who can answer almost any question. If you wish I can subscribe you to this list.
