Woops, did I say something daft? Yes...I get my google mail straight into my outlook express and my goatmum is through AOL, I get a bit confused, but Lawrence has just confirmed that! Sorry If I misled you. In Hannah's case, I don't think her college technicians would be happy if they saw that she subscribed to mailing lists through her college account! I know other students do, but I personally prefer that e-mails from mailing lists should go to your own personal account, since: a) You'll always have that account, and b) they're rarely business related anyway. So this is why this "recent" feature is very handy for us two anyway. ----- Original Message ----- From: Christine Weetman To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2007 3:45 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Gmail tip Aah, I get all my messages to read on AOL, maybe you wasn't aware Christopher that it depends on how you set-up as to whether you get your own messages or not. You can do this on email groups like this or DeafBlindFriends too, I don't want to have my own messages back, I get too many mails as it is! lol CW ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Hallsworth To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2007 11:53 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Gmail tip Yeah it's quite good actually. Least I can see that my own messages are going through, as well as read any mail that I missed. ----- Original Message ----- From: Hannah Day To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2007 11:18 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Gmail tip wow sounds interesting! ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Hallsworth To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2007 11:16 AM Subject: [access-uk] Gmail tip Hi all, I was reading through the help system of Gmail this morning, and they told me that for those of us who use pop, if you change the account name field to "recent:username@xxxxxxxxx" (without quotes, and substituting username@xxxxxxxxx with your actual username), we can view our own messages! How cool is that? I'm just reading through my 300 or so now.
