Hi jackie. If you use imap, when you delete messages they will also
delete from the server your online inbox. This is why i dislike pop,
its not always accurate.

One more question, (hopefully). I note that in my Gmail Inbox on the site,
all the messages I have received since subscribing to my lists today are
there. Is there a Gmail setting that will delete them once they have been
forwarded to my Outlook client? I have unticked the "keep a copy of
messages on the server" box within Outlook, so why are they still in my
Inbox on the Gmail site I wonder?

hi jackie.
check the boxes for the messages you want to move. then go to the combo
box above or below the table, there's 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom
of the page and select the action you'd like to perform. there's also a
delete button to delete your messages. to make a new folder, go to the
labels section and make a new label. gmail organises messages using
labels. the above applies if you're using basic html as your default
view. i hope its of some help?
