No Tony I am in Standard view already and I can't switch to basic html. I
wouldn't mind it being in standard view if the buttons would work. This
is
my DCR gmail account which also comes down to my in-box, that is district
client rep for GD's but I like to keep copies of the mail on the web mail
so
if I lose a copy of mail I can get it from there which is what happened.
I
do have a personal gmail account which is already set to basic html which
is
fine, it's the other one I'm battling with. Thanks if you can help with
that.

From memory when you see 'standard view' then you are in HTML if that
makes
sense!
'Standard View' is inviting one to change to it if they want, and visa
versa, that's all really.

html basic view.
Not sure why it's not working for you. Can anyone else confirm if it
