Hi Carol.

Wow, well even I can get it wrong from time to time, so sorry for misleading
you list members. Tell me someone, can you get a GPS receiver that can better
the one on the IPhone? Or are these devices like the Bad Elf merely replacing
functionality lacking in Apple’s more expensive products?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Ibrahim,

I've heard of two external devices and own one. I have the BadElf (available
on Amazon) which certainly works with the iPod. It's quite possible that it
won't work with the iPad, but I don't know.

The other, reckoned as a little better by someone who has both, I just can't
recall, but remember it has a wrist band. The BadElf, incidentally, takes its
power directly from the iPhone/Pod, so no charging it first, but you can't use
it for long day trips without sufficient charging during the journey.

If you need the name of the other, I could ask for you.
