Hi Richard Yes, Ariadne was quite useful too. As I said, I noticed that the further north I travelled, the less excited Navigator became. Next time I go, I will put specific routes in and see what I make of using it that way. All power to our elbow I say! (smile). Although I quite like the intersection info of the Navigator app, for some reason its accuracy here in Perth when walking a route is nowhere near as good as Navigon, which is why I prefer the latter. As for info around you, Ariadne GPS seems great these days at alerting you to street numbers; think it's since they changed to using Google maps. Any thoughts? The RNIB Navigator is £6.99 monthly, £47.99 yearly or £89.99 for a 3 year subscription, so the longer you commit, the better value you're getting. I love the Navigator app and have written a favourable review which will be featured in RNIB's app of the month column. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Cussick Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 11:40 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: GPS Hi, how much does the RNIB effort cost? I also use blind square and at the moment seems to be replacing my breeze. I have had maybe 5 years out of it and feel I have had my moneys worth. but i would like to try the navigator app out thanks for your post GPS interests me very much.
