Hi

How does gmail handle messages in the sent folder, does it
delete these periodically too?

Adrien

Gmail is not like other mail systems in that it more or less
permanently
archives what you have received unless you delete it, the
design
principle is that you store your mail and search it (if
using the web).
Even if you are using a typical POP3 setup it will not
delete your mail,
however once you have downloaded it then it is moved to the
archive and
you never end up downloading it again anyway but it is still
available
via the web, this is its default behaviour under POP3
arrangement.

Jaws 9.0 has good facilities for dealing with the online
Gmail interface
should you require that.

Hi all,

Catherine, thanks, I took your advice and went for the
archive option.
Does
anyone know how long they stay archived before perhaps
moving to the
bin, or
doesn't that happen without your say so!

Thanks for any advice on this.
