You have it do you?  So how tricky do you find it, to actually find the bar
code on a packet or tin?

Hay Steve it does have a data base,


There is a hell of a lot of stuff that does not work but you can fill in 
a description and send it off to the data base.

I would say you have to work quite hard to get the thing to read a bar 
code but I have had some luck with it reading cans and packets and other 
stuff.

The database is not in the program it uses the internet to go online and 
look the code up.  hope this is of some help.
