Hi Jackie, That would be great!

I don't always need you see to save web material
but certainly of course most of the time though! Thanks Tony----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Tony

To be honest, I've never thought of embossing an Email or web page
directly. I just thought that if you saved them as txt files, you would
be safer because it would strip any rubbish or codes and, as George
said, avoid untranslated or computer Braille. If I get time, I'll try
it and see what happens.

Hi Jackie,

Just going through some emails here and came across one from you re
Basic D in answer to a query to the list from yours truly!

What are the disadvantages of embossing directly from the Basic D?

You mention something like that you can save to text and translate that
way but I get the impression that it is not the best way to go!

I am only thinking of say a short email or perhaps a not too important
web page for example.

your reply is at the very end of this forwarded mail.

Couldn't find the mail proper!
Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony

Not George, but a younger, female model!! (grins).

If you really need to do that, save your pages or Emails as txt
files,
and emboss them that way. Perhaps not ideal, but about your best bet
if
you want translated Braille! Jackie Cairns

You can, but bear in mind it will be untranslated, and computer
braille to boot.

George.

Hi All,

I wonder if someone could let me know if it is possible to Braille
emboss
emails &/or web pages using the Basic D embosser directly without
the
need
for first saving them to say 'my documents.?

Thanks

Tony
