Hi Peter, I too, heard a demo from Sight Village. I wish they would do an option that included real video recording though, and not just sound. I know some blind people prefer sound only, so they don't have to pay for a licence, but it is so specialist. It would be nice if a blind person could buy one of these, and share it with the rest of the family too. They could then have just one accessible freeview box, instead of, in the case of people with sighted families perhaps, two freeview boxes, just so everyone can get the best out of the telly. In my view, it would have been better for Portset to have made two versions of it, so that one could have the choice of real accessible video recording in a stand alone box. Currently, it is only the Nebula PC card that gives you this accessibility, and it would have been a good opportunity here, that I feel, Portset are currently missing. Netgem too are missing the point of accessible video recording, as they too, haven't done it. And what about partially sighted people? Do they too want sound only? Oh well, good ol' Portset.
