Hi Trace,

Yes, but you need to know the number.  Your signature is on the back of your
credit card, so anyone can see it, and hence, forge it.  Not only that, many
blind people can't write, so they just perform what I call a squiggle.
These are the simplest to forge.  I think the previous signature system was
riddled with insecurity.

My personal opinion is that its way easier to punch four numbers in to a
keypad than forge a signature.
